My Reiki Journey..

Hi, my names Fiona,

I'm a Reiki Master Practitioner/Teacher for both Usui Reiki (12yrs) and Angelic Reiki (6yrs). I'm also a Pendragon Reiki Practitioner and incorporate other energy healing skills into my healing sessions that I have developed over the years by attending various workshops.

I first came across reiki in the late 1990's when I was diagnosed with early stages of cervical cancer and I was doing research, but I didn't pursue this for various reasons and commitments at this time, it wasn't until 2011 that Reiki would be brought back into my consciousness when I had been suffering from trigeminal neuralgia for a few years. I went to sleep one night crying asking my guides for help... I woke up the following morning saying "Reiki" and that was it - the beginning of what was to become my healing journey. I googled Reiki and Marion a Reiki Master Teacher who used to own and run Cumbria Therapies in Carlisle and who is now retired popped up I gave her a call and she asked me to come in for a session, well part way through the healing session she paused briefly and told me very loudly, "you're on the wrong side of the bed. this is what you should be doing" then just carried on like nothing happened, I'd just qualified in accounting the year previous so thought nothing of this. -

A few days later I got a call from Marion saying someone had cancelled and there was a place for me on her Reiki one course if I wanted it in a few weeks' time, well I had just by chance won the cost of the course the night before at bingo, so I took this as a sign and this where my Reiki journey began.

Reiki has since supported me through a wide range life experiences including thyroid cancer and the grief of both my parents becoming ill and passing, it also helped my mam come to terms with a lot of things in her final months.

I have practiced Reiki professionally on and off since 2012 l used to have a room in my husband's computer shop in Carlisle and at Caldbeck for a short while. While looking after my mam when she was terminally ill, I took a few years out as I was also working at an accounting firm and separated from my husband also at this time so needed to take some time for me... but I have recently opened my owned room in the centre of Carlisle with the small amount of inheritance I received as my mam always wanted me to have my own space... this is how Fiona's Healing Hub was born.

Reiki has helped me and my family so much over the years that I would always say "just give it try ... "
